So the most exciting and most scary part of pregnancy for me was the first trimester. It was a time of worrying about losing the baby, morning sickness, excited disbelief, planning and daydreaming and a secret fromthe world before my first scan.

So what is going on in that first trimester? The first trimester refers to the time in pregnancy which runs from the first day of your last period (yes before you are even pregnant!) to the end of week 12. In the first trimester your baby speeds from being nothing to being the size of your little finger. Wow! It will even have all of it’s organs!

You will be knackered and sick and excited and nervous and did I mention exhausted???
